Fall 2020 Meeting 0x01

President Jesse Downing officially called the meeting to order on September 3rd, 2020 at 5:15pm

+ Jesse forgets Joel's last name
	- Celina violently laughs
	- Jesse is also forgetting other things, probably braindead

+ No new members this semester
	- Possible recruiting events?
	- Virtual Club fair seemed not to turn up anything for either CClub or SAEC
	+ Maybe have a public Zoom call roundabout
		- Either just CClub or maybe other orgs too
		- Table sitting except online

+ Several previous club members were NOT on the e-mail list
	- Jesse added them (Shalimar, Dom, and Bri (although Bri's graduated))
	- There are also significantly less people on the SAEC mailing list
	- Many of them also aren't in the Discord, and that might explain *why*

+ Planned Events for this semester
	- Movie Nights (of course)
	+ Virutal 90s Net Cafe
		- Either have Windows 9x or Mac OS Classic image in web browser
		  or redistributable
		- Win9x emulation is difficult, but Jesse *does* have it working in a
		  QEMU VM
		- IRC Server + Icecast (internet radio) Stream
		- Possible DJ from either aNONradio or Tilderadio
	- Text Adventures (basically D&D over IRC)
	+ Dokapon Kingdom emulation + Netplay
		- Need at least 4 dedicated players
		  (cannot skip players if they don't come)
	- No one else had proposed ideas, but can make suggestions any time

+ Ideas for things to do *during the meetings*
	- Online Altair 8800 (https://jebug29.sdf.org/altair.html)
	+ Retro Desktop Expo
		- VM images of old operating systems downloadable, everyone customizes
		  them and shares screenshots over Discord
		- Screenshots will eventually go on the Computer Club website
	- Live Coding/Code Sharing, if people are so inclined
	+ No suggestions givens
		- Joel will attempt to think of some in his spare time
		- Celina wants to make sure we can do them first before suggesting
	- Text Adventures, etc can also be done during the meetings
	+ We could possibly have streaming parties during the meeting
		- Code Lyoko got a good response

+ Computer Club page for student organizations @ Millsaps
	- We need this, because Millsaps' official webpage for student orgs hasn't
	  been updated since August 2017, and the Computer Club was founded in
	  Oct'17
	- Coming soon
	+ Two organizations filled out the Google Form
		- Catholic Student Association
		- The Purple and White

- Jesse showed current Windows 98 image running under QEMU
